After an accident, you might feel pressured to use your insurance company’s recommended repairer, however the final decision on where your car is repaired is entirely yours.
Whilst our car repair work is approved by the vast majority of insurers, there are some that may insist your vehicle be taken to one of their ‘approved’ repairers. But remember, these recommendations are often driven by cost rather than quality. Insurers may prioritise getting repairs done at the lowest possible price, without caring as much about the quality of the repair as you or we do!
Your insurers recommended repairer may not have official manufacturer approvals or hold the prestigious BS10125 accreditation for vehicle body repairs – both of which we proudly maintain here at CRS. Next time you’re involved in an accident, remember: it’s your legal right to choose who repairs your vehicle.
